Being the Hallmark aficionado that I am, I am always excited when another Hallmark book comes out. While Love Locks was not a beloved movie of mine, I was excited to jump in and savor the magic I knew Cory Martin would bring to this storyline. While I expected nothing less than exemplary, Cory exceeded my expectations, and she was also gracious enough to agree to a quick interview so that my readers and I could appreciate and acknowledge her as a well-respected writer and an inspirational individual...

In this award winning blog, Meg gives her review of Love Sick. "It arrived…and I read it… in one day…and it was everything that I had hoped it would be. She has written the exact type of memoir that I love to read. She is open and honest and raw but does so with a humor that resonates deep within me. This is someone else that gets the reasons to laugh and smile at this stupid disease..."
Modern Day MS: An Interview

When were you diagnosed with multiple sclerosis?
“You know what I find interesting is if you ask someone when any other major shift occurred in their life, they can tell you a general time frame maybe the season or the month and the year, but ask someone when a doctor first told them they had multiple sclerosis and they remember the exact day. Like many others, it’s been a long windy road to a diagnosis. But the first time a neurologist told me she believed I had MS was October 16th 2007.”

An interview where Cory talks writing, yoga and spilling your guts on the page.
"I think the hardest thing for a lot of new writers to see is that the media and even social media makes it look like the writers who have “made it” did so without any struggle. But the life you see is just the sound bite version and the real life of any writer who’s “made it” was not easy."

Love Sick is both funny and thought-provoking. Even if you don’t have a chronic illness, or know anyone who has one, I would highly recommend you read it. Because sooner or later either you, or someone you love will be dealing with chronic illness. It’s one of the more difficult facts of life, but the better we get about talking openly about these things, the better prepared we all are – and the better equipped we will be to deal with it ourselves and support our loved ones.
